We have everything you need—and then some. The 29-room hotel has been recently renovated and decorated in warm, harmonious tones. Many of the rooms have their own patio, giving you the feeling of stepping right out into nature. Sleep is important to us, which is why it’s a top priority for our hotel guests. Here, you’ll start your day after a restful night’s sleep in our high-quality beds from Aya of Sweden.
The restaurant is the heart of Gumbalde and is located in our beautiful limestone building, featuring a cozy outdoor seating area with a view of Stånga Church. Here we serve breakfast, lunch, coffee and pastries, dinner, and drinks. This is the place to come after a round of golf with friends or a relaxing day at the resort. Upstairs, you’ll find a banquet hall, conference room, and lounge area for a moment of relaxation—perhaps in front of a crackling fire? From the resort, you can gaze out over the horizon of a brand-new, top-class golf course.
The course was designed by Pierre Fulke, who is perhaps one of Sweden’s best course architects. The vision is a golf course that offers a golfing experience that delights all the senses. Here, everyone should be able to play, have fun, and improve their game. In addition to golf, we offer high-quality outdoor padel courts. We also have a large, heated outdoor pool. Gumbalde is located in Stånga in southern Gotland. It’s only a 45-minute drive from Visby, about 20 minutes from Ljugarn, and 10 minutes from Hemse.
Are you driving from Visby?
Take Route 143 toward Roma.
About 5 km past the town of Roma, turn right toward HEMSE/STÅNGA/LYE. At the three-way intersection in Lye, turn right toward STÅNGA/HEMSE.
When you arrive in Stånga, follow the signs to Gumbalde.

Yep, parking here is free and doesn't require a permit; however, if you want to use the electric car chargers, you pay for the amount of electricity you charge.
